![]() ![]() Great location and I don’t recall having any issue with cleanliness and staff were helpful. Two sisters who always want their own space so I think we always got the two bedroom suite. Second time it seemed like the price jumped a lot. Either of these places I’d love to stay at for 2 nights but for more nights…I like to be in town. ![]() But again I don’t want to have to rely upon a shuttle or driving everytime I want to go to town. Rimrock…again I’ve never stayed but have gone for hot chocolate. But with historic hotels…that’s the way it is. Other times she said the room was pretty spacious. Same “classu of rooms but some occasions they said the rooms were REALLY tiny. Would like to one day for a special occasion but I sort of like staying right in town. When I initially read reviews of some others they seemed to emphasize being outdated/aged.but I will definitely go back and reread the reviews for what you recommended. That’s where Fairmont and Moose were under $400 which is still more than I prefer, and Rimrock has a sale for $260 which was better. My husband is more picky than me.he likes luxury so I usually try to find somewhat affordable but not the Holiday Inn if you know what I mean. Rimrock was of interest because reviews stated you could walk to gondola and then free bus to town. For this reason I was looking at Moose (+ free parking) but didn’t know if I would regret not staying at the Fairmont - but then heard it is really crowded with tourists. We typically like someplace where we can walk to town and restaurants and have easy access for after dinner drinks/music without having to worry about driving or being limited by restaurant bar only. We are looking at last week of June 2019. Thanks! I could tell all 3 would be good to stay in but looking for the differences and you actually provided good information I was looking for (walkability, setting, etc). I like the lounges here, I just don't like the "feel" Rimrock will always be slightly cheaper then Banff Springs, and there are better chances for good views, but it's a bit further of a drive. Waking from here is doable, but not ideal. You will pretty much pay double though for all this when comparing to the Banff ave strip. The Bow falls are just down the hill, as is their golf course. Room views.you wont really know until you are in the actual room because they are so variable. The pool is great, and the "feel" is amazing. There are many really nice 3 star hotels on the strip close to downtown.my first recommendation would be Aspen Lodge.their new refreshed look and comparable cost make it the best deal in my opinion.īanff Springs (stayed here roughly 12 times or so) ,though is amazing, and even though the rooms are smaller, the Fairmont brand has been able to keep it elegant and on trend. The same would go for The Royal Canadian Delta. Moose is brand new, and better than many on the Banff Ave strip, I just don't think it is warranted the extra cost during peak times. I've stayed in roughly 12 hotels in Banff, and as a local, Banff Springs is only for special occasions now for me. I think maybe a hint in what you prefer is in order.
